DAP To Recommend Teresa Kok As The Selangor Deputy Menteri Besar.
KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: DAP Central Committee resolved to recommend Publicity Secretary cum Kinrara assemblyman Teresa Kok as the Deputy Menteri Besar of Selangor.
DAP organising secretary Tan Kok Wai said Monday (17 Mar) in a statement that DAP resolved during the committee meeting held in Penang on Sunday (16 Mar) that if the Selangor government sets a deputy MB post, the party will recommend Teresa Kok for the post.
He said three candidates for the post were suggested by the Selangor DAP and the central committee decided to recommend Teresa Kok after a discussion.
Tan added that the committee's decision was made based on the victory of many women candidates of the party in the recent elections. Such decision was hoped to encounrage more women to participate in politics. (Sin Chew Daily)

great to hear time. it is decision well due. well, we will never see this under BN administration, for they only talk cock and do nothing.
yup bongkersz, but we'll just have to see if any deputy menteri besar will be appointed and if so, will the race barrier be broken.
